Campus Tour

The Maricopa Unified School District is proud of the relationship between our schools and the families that we serve.  The School Site Council (SSC) is a committee of parents, community members, teachers, staff members, and administrators that review plans, funding, and programs that impact the schools in the District.  

Are you interested in serving on the committee?  Please reach out to the school office to let us know.  The public is welcome to attend all meetings!

Maricopa Unified School District is proud to offer an extended day program for ALL students in grades Tk-6.  The program offers a 9 hour day starting in the morning with breakfast.  After the regular day of education the program continues from 3:00pm to 5:00pm daily.  A daily snack and Supper is provided to each student.

The California Revenue and Taxation Code (RTC) Section 19853(b) requires school districts that operate the National School Lunch Program to annually notify households about the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Information Act.

The school has received calls from concerned community members regarding the potential impact of new immigration enforcement efforts that may occur due to the incoming new federal administration.  

It is important to know that Maricopa School District has one priority - The Education of Your Student.  There is NO want or intent to participate in any other priority no matter what priority a Local, State, or Federal agency may try and implement.

The Maricopa Unified School District values input from our parents and community.  

A significant part of the funding decisions made related to our programs come from the LCAP.  The Local Control and Accountability Plan is a three-year plan that is developed and annually updated through stakeholder input.

This year we are in the first year of the three year plan.  As part of the annual review, surveys are provided to solicit feedback from stakeholder groups.

The Maricopa Unified School District takes the safety of our students and staff seriously.  The following Workplace Violence Prevention Plan has been adopted by the Board of Education.

The MUSD operates an Extended Learning Opportunities Plan (ELOP).  The State requires adoption of a plan.  The Board of the MUSD adopted a plan on February 9, 2023.  The link is below:

The Maricopa Unified School District has benefited from a $150,000 State grant program aimed at improving our high school student's ability to stay on an A-G eligible path toward college admission.  The State requires an annual plan update.  The update are below:

On November 8, 2022, California voters approved Proposition 28: The Arts and Music in Schools (AMS) Funding Guarantee and Accountability Act. The measure required the state to establish a new, ongoing program supporting arts instruction in schools beginning in 2023–24.
